SJS Youth Wednesdays

Wildfires Wednesday 5.30pm-6.15pm

Wildfires is our youth discipleship group for young people in school years 7–13 who want to grow deeper in their faith and explore what it really means to live as a Christian. We meet every Wednesday during term time from 5:30 pm to 6:15 pm, and it’s always a great time to hang out, pray, worship, and dive into how the Bible relates to our everyday lives.

Each session is a chance to connect with friends, ask big questions, and discover how to follow Jesus in a real and practical way. We finish the evening with dinner, and you’re warmly invited to stick around for Youth Club, which kicks off afterward.

At St John’s, we’re passionate about providing a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for everyone. All our leaders are fully DBS-checked and trained in safeguarding through the Church of England, ensuring that every young person feels supported and valued.

Youth Club Wednesdays 6.30pm-8.30pm
Welcome to Youth Club at St John's Stoke! Our vibrant youth club is open to all young people in school years 7 to 13. Join us every Wednesday during term time from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm for an evening filled with fun and engaging activities.

After visiting our popular tuck shop, you can enjoy a variety of games and sports, including pool, table tennis, table football, and video games on the Nintendo Switch and Xbox 360. We also offer crafts, board games, and any other activities you might be interested in trying. Each week features a special event such as competitions, cooking sessions, karaoke, bingo nights, quiz nights, and much more!

Our mission is to provide a safe and welcoming environment where young people can have fun, build friendships, and develop new skills. We are committed to the safeguarding, care, and nurture of everyone in our community. All our volunteers undergo full DBS checks and complete the Church of England safeguarding training to ensure the well-being of all participants. We also welcome those with additional needs; please contact Lucy to discuss any support requirements.

For more information, feel free to reach out to Lucy, our Youth Worker, at lucy@stjohnstoke.com, or simply drop by on a Wednesday evening. We look forward to welcoming you!
